Taiyo is proud to present a new product – Sunfiber® AF. With this new product, Taiyo is expanding its product range in a completely new direction: It is specially designed for animal feed.
Sunfiber® AF is a partially hydrolyzed guar bean fiber, which is 100% natural and water-soluble. Furthermore, it is tasteless, odorless and colorless. When incorporating it into formulas there is no increase of the feed viscosity. It is completely fermentable (prebiotic), supports a healthy gut microbiome and improves mineral absorption.
It is suitable for the feed of horses, piglets, chickens, cats and dogs.
Sunfiber® AF can be labeled as a 100% natural material (ISO 19657:2017) and is approved for animal feed under Guar Gum (E412). It provides no undesirable side effects, like bloating or cramping. Furthermore, there is no constipation as with conventional Guar Gum. There is a decrease of fecal water and it improves all five barriers of the gut immune system. It also supports muscle growth and maintenance.
Some specific benefits of Sunfiber® AF in animal nutrition include:
- Improved gut health: Sunfiber® AF can help to improve the health of the gastrointestinal tract by increasing the production of beneficial bacteria, reducing the incidence of diarrhea and improving the overall function of the digestive system.
- Increased nutrient absorption: Sunfiber® AF can help to increase the absorption of nutrients in the gastrointestinal tract, which can lead to improved nutrient utilization and better overall health of the animal.
- Weight management: Sunfiber® AF can help to reduce feed intake in animals, which can be beneficial for weight management and weight control.
- Improved immune system: In poultry, Sunfiber® AF has been shown to reduce the growth of intestinal Salmonella, which can lead to a reduced need for antibiotics.
- Increased muscle growth: In young animals (e.g. piglets) Sunfiber® AF increases muscle growth and gaining of lean body mass.
