L-THEANINE-RICH SUNPHENON® GREEN TEA EXTRACT
Sunphenon® TH30 is made from high-quality green tea leaves of the Camellia Sinensis plant and is rich in natural green tea L-theanine. Sunphenon® TH30 can be used in food supplements, beverages, dairy products, and confectionery. It is the only legal form of L-theanine that can be used in Europe because it is 100% naturally derived from green tea.
Taiyo is proud to present Sunphenon® 8RTH – a soluble Matcha extract, which creates a perfectly brewed instant Matcha.
While conventional Matcha powder is not water-soluble and produces sediment, Sunphenon® 8RTH is completely water-soluble without sedimentation. Therefore, it combines the advantages of conventional Matcha and the technical benefits of an instant tea. It is perfect for the use in beverages.
We are excited to introduce you to our innovative product, SunActive® Mg – Endosomal Magnesium! SunActive® Mg is an outstanding magnesium product specially designed to create the perfect magnesium balance, and it can be applied in multiple areas.
Taiyo would like to inform customers about an important change regarding its Matcha products. We are happy to announce that we have renamed two popular products to better align our brand and offerings.
Effective immediately, our EU Matcha 70 will now be known as:
“SunMatcha® Kokyu – Japanese Organic Premium Matcha” and our EU Matcha 100 will be known as:
“SunMatcha® Gishiki – Japanese Organic Ceremonial Matcha”.

At this years Fi Europe 2022 in Paris, Taiyo is presenting novelties from the Sunfiber®, Vegemeat and Sunphenon® ranges, in addition to the already well-known functional ingredients.
Vegetarian or vegan alternatives to animal products can no longer be overlooked on supermarket shelves. In Germany, around seven million people already eat a vegetarian diet, more than one percent of the population even lives vegan, and more and more consumers are calling themselves flexitarians. However, the desire of many people for plant-based alternatives that have a meat-like structure, natural ingredients and, above all, convincing taste, poses challenges for the food industry. Taiyo is an expert in functional ingredients and supplies Vegemeat, a plant-based meat alternative made from pea protein. The granules are 100 percent natural, free of additives and preservatives, and also allergen-free: perfect for soups, bolognese, lasagnas and the like.
At Fi/Hi Europe in Frankfurt, Taiyo introduced Vegemeat, a new natural meat alternative for minced meat dishes. The granulated pea protein targets consumers not wanting to miss out on a minced meat-like texture. It is especially suitable for people on a vegan or low-meat diet who suffer from intolerances and thus pay close attention to ingredients.
Teavigo® is an innovative product that has many dynamic uses. It is made from high quality green tea leaves from the Camellia sinensis plant. Teavigo® consists of a high polyphenol tea extract that has numerous biochemical and physiological benefits such as antioxidant, anti-microbial, deodorant and thermogenic (fat burning) activities.
